UL Listed Wireless Alarm Systems History World Electronics, Inc. was founded in 1979 to develop a revolutionary fire and early warning system for commercial applications. This new wireless technology, utilizing digital radio frequency transmissions, represented the first major improvement over hard wired early warning communication systems in 90 years! 1981 - the first commercial wireless installation was installed to protect the residents of a condominium building in Boca Raton, Florida. The impressive performance of the first system resulted in subsequent installations in numerous condominium communities in South Florida. 1982 - installation in a flagship high rise Holiday Inn hotel in Hollywood, Florida provided the first opportunity to demonstrate World Electronics, Inc.'s new wireless technology in a vast commercial property. The new wireless alarm system was a big success! As time progressed, the wireless alarm systems were selected for numerous applications across the country. With each successful installation, word of this new wireless early warning technology spread and demand grew. World Electronics, Inc. accelerated its' research and development program - bringing new products to market that satisfied the needs of ever larger and more complex applications. 1985 - a new generation of wireless early warning systems were completed and submitted to Underwriters Laboratories for testing. Almost simultaneously, World Electronics, Inc. made application to the National Fire Protection Association for acceptance of the technology into the National Standard. Approval was soon ratified. 1987 - World Electronics, Inc. received UL listing #864. 1988 - approval by the California Fire Marshal (CFM) 1994 - approval by the City of New York (MEA) Today - the wireless early warning systems developed by World Electronics, Inc. are accepted by all regional code authorities in the United States! Twenty US and Canadian Patents World Electronics, Inc. secured twenty US and Canadian patents for the receiving and processing technology associated with the form of spread spectrum frequency shift transmission utilized in the latest wireless alarm systems. In recent years World Electronics, Inc. developed new products resulting in a complete line of approved and listed transmitting and receiving modules. The Only UL Listed Fully Commercial Wireless System World Electronics, Inc.'s wireless early warning systems are acknowledged as the sole UL listed fully commercial wireless systems on the market today!
